What is G.E.T.T. CLEAN-Green Education Training & Technologies?

G.E.T.T. CLEAN™ will raise awareness about the importance of reducing the impact of industry on the environment, while promoting clean energy technologies, creating job opportunities, and stimulating job growth in the region.

CMS’ trademarked campaign, G.E.T.T. CLEAN™ - Green Education Training and Technologies will assist waterfront communities such as Barrio Logan, an area greatly affected by goods movements, in becoming cleaner and healthier neighborhoods, and seeks to establish "Clean/Green Zones" where both the public as well as companies doing business in the area will be incentivized to operate cleanly.

CMS operates the Maritime Learning Center located in the heart of Barrio Logan. This facility is in a perfect location for outreach, training, and education. CMS currently has been providing job training and career exploration in the maritime industry, and offers job development for at risk youth from the region. The Maritime Learning Center offers classroom and hands on vocational training in maritime trades.
